Made across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Faroe Islands,Norway, and Sweden, it blends classic whisky traditions with a distinctly Nordic approach.From yeast to grains to casks, producers across the region experiment in their own ways,creating a broad spectrum of styles rather than one defined type of whisky.Nordic whisky as a category is still young, but has earned global attention for its quality,creativity, and strong sense of place. It offers a modern take on whisky, one that reflects theculture, environment, and climate of the far north.

Officially founded in Copenhagen in 2025, the Nordic Whisky Collaboration brings togetherdistilleries from across the Nordic countries to celebrate and support Nordic whisky. Ourmembers work together to strengthen a shared identity and showcase the region’s whisky onthe global stage.Through knowledge sharing, events, and a focus on sustainability and innovation, we aim tobuild a distinctive and internationally recognized whisky category that highlights the diversity,quality, and authenticity of Nordic whisky.
